See what the stars are wearing!
2) below is a store I have a hat concession in. the street it's on is frequented by all kinds of hip and rich folks even though it's kind of in the "hood." Rents are about $10.00 a square foot . . . houses a million . . . some "hood!"

3) Amber, the owner of Blonde is a favorite of mine with a shop a few blocks away.
4) Tom Caufield (singer, songwriter) bought a hat from my shop right before they shot the jacket pics and Tom wears it throughout. A surprisingly excellent CD. Being centrally located to a ton of recording studios and a street alive with musicians I get a lot of CD's. A few are keepers and this is one of them.
5) Tom Brosseau was in my shop not long ago and bought a porkpie similar to the one Tom Caufield has on. As luck would have it Tom was playing at a fabulous, outdoor venue and put me on the list. Turned out to be a spectacular evening at Theatricum Botanicum. It was hosted a, KCRW sponsored, tribute to Woody Guthrie. I had an enjoyable evening and gained the acquaintance of a talented and unique singer, songwriter.
6) Amanda, the tall one from the Ditty Bops is one of my earliest customers. She bought a nice, 20's style cloche on her first visit long before The Ditty Bops were born. As luck would have it, it's the hat she wore for their first publicity photo!
7) This fabulous treasure in the Santa Monica Mountains is literally heaven to us city dwellers. Read about it and when in the area try to get up there for a play or concert. Just about everyone involved with the theater is a customer of Fedora Primo!! Attend one of their events, bring in the ticket stub and I'll give you 10% off any lid in the store!

8) Larry Bell, wildman artist from the 60's is still breaking ground, continuing to find fame and success in the art world. How he found Fedora Primo is a mystery, but I'm glad he did. This man loves hats!! From my best Italian Borsalino's to quirky, production models designed in China, Mr. Bell does hats like no one else. He has also sent in a who's who of famous Los Angeles artists and continues to make my shop home . . . when he's not traveling the globe representing his art and design or working at his either his studio in Taos, NM or Venice, CA.
9) Betty Gold is a fabulous woman I met a few decades ago now . . . I owned a print shop and she was an up and coming artist and sculptor. She's a big deal now with her pieces all around the world. Betty is still my good friend and "life" advisor. She took forever to buy a hat being a little too modest for the "big brims", but now she wouldn't be caught without one, especially her cowboy hat. Betty is from Texas, and I was born there. She's watched me through my ups and downs, gave me the color ideas for the store and still cheers me on like a sister!!
10) This is our local "public" station in the basement of a building on the Santa Monica college. I listen quite a bit and did a ton of volunteering at the station until I started Fedora Primo. To keep involved I give KCRW discounts at my store.
